Shed Some lbs
I have dedicated this site to losing weight
the old fashion way by burning it. In the past our options to shed some lbs. were limited. Public gyms were not
found just around the corner and technology had not yet brought us indoors with high def television and high
speed computers. It seemed we were not as obsessed with losing weight back then, a day’s work was actually
work and it helped keep our weight under control. Now many of us are struggling with our weight and
unfortunately our health. What we may need is an individual weight loss
plan that we can customize. Our problem these days is that we have too many options on ways to shed
some lbs. and get healthy, but maybe not the time. This site is intended to assist you in finding answers to
most of your questions. My goal is to provide you honest information and tips on health and fitness. I have
also included some information on programs I believe will help to jump start your journey to fitness. So
grab yourself a cup of coffee or better yet a healthy cup of tea and browse for a
while.

Changes
Let’s go back in time and take a look at what
changes impacted our lives taking a toll on our weight and our health. First of all we used to have jobs that for
the most part were performed outdoors and involved farming or ranching activities. Just getting to work was a chore
and may have involved saddling a horse or perhaps hitching up the wagon. More than likely someone had to milk a cow
and fetch the eggs for breakfast. Ladies probably spent most of their times in the kitchen just to put the evening
family meal together and dishes were washed and dried by hand. We grew most of our food and it involved physical
activity to mind the animals and tend to the garden. Our children were active and games were played outside usually
involving running, jumping, and climbing. There was no real need to shed some lbs. we were pretty much fat burning
machines. There are different ways to burn
calories nowadays.
We have left those days in the past and now
we drive to some air conditioned office building and spend most of our time sitting in our office. We attend
virtual meetings and hold teleconferences all without leaving the comfort of our office chair. Breakfast is hardly
a sit down event and more often than not involves a drive-thru or microwave. We get our food at the grocery store
and heat and serve is vogue. Does anybody actually cook anymore? Dishes go into the dishwasher after the evening
meal which may or may not have been cooked at home. You will find your children parked in front of the television
or manning a joystick by the home computer playing the latest video game. Then we wonder why we find ourselves in a
situation where we need to shed some lbs. or go shopping for the next size up. Are you saying to yourself "I cannot lose
weight".
All this convenience is making our lifestyles
more and more sedentary. We live in
a continuously changing environment and fortunately we have learned how to adapt to changes. I am sure there is
probably a park in your neighborhood, a gym not too far from where you live, or even some wilderness you can take
advantage of. So walk to the park, drive to the gym, or go set up a tent in the woods. These are all great
activities you can involve the whole family in especially the kids and it makes for great quality time. You can
find something to do in your own back yard, take out the push mower or dig out the shovels and hoes (no pun
intended) and do a little landscaping or start a small garden. These are all great outdoor activities that will
help you shed some lbs. and improve your health before you know it. But there are many more fat loss exercises available.
Where
do you start?
How do we go about making smart
choices? There are a few guidelines but let’s keep it basic. We need
proper nutrition, some form of physical activity, and consistency. The most important thing to do if you are
contemplating some type of weight loss program is to consult your doctor or a health and fitness professional;
you should always keep your safety in mind. Remember you did not
wake up one day and realize you had put on some extra weight; this may not even be the first time you had to
buy bigger clothes. Don’t be surprised if it also takes you a long time to shed the extra pounds. No need to
panic, proper nutrition and some old fashioned exercise will get you back in shape and improve your physical
health.

in choosing an exercise program or a diet, and tips on weight loss to assist you in making informed healthy
choices. Remember staying fit and healthy in most cases requires some form of lifestyle change and a commitment. No
one said it would be easy but here are a few weight loss tips to get you
started. Hope you enjoyed the site, now put down the remote and walk away from the television it is time to shed
