probably isn’t. Your search will more than likely lead you to
the same conclusions, diets that work are not that simple,
require effort and commitment, and usually involve some form of
physical activity. There usually are no miracle pills. Here are

Starvation Diets
The basic premise of this type of diet is that if you quit
eating, you will lose weight a relatively short time. What you
will find out is that if you do not provide proper nutrition to
your body, your metabolism will actually slow down. Your body
will go into a defensive mode and start to store food as body
fat to prevent starvation. This process is actually
counterproductive to weigh loss and you end up with stored fat
in hard- to-lose areas such as your belly and buttocks. Still
looking for diets that work, look for ones that provide the
proper nutrition so your body has the energy to burn fat
calories.
What about Food Substitutes
I am sure you have seen this type of diet where you
substitute a shake or similar drink for one or more of your
daily meals. Though you may lose a pound or two initially you
will not sustain any type of actual weight loss. In most cases
these drinks do not provide you all the nutrients and vitamins
your body requires and often leave you feeling hungry. With the
exception of some of the flavored shakes this is basically the
same as starving yourself. Some of these drinks only contain
empty calories that will actually help you put on weight and do
nothing to help you lose it.
Health Diets
Diets that include fruits and vegetables, lean
meats, and good carbohydrates are your best overall choice for
diets that work. Fruits and vegetables will help you feel full
with fewer calories, lean meats and low fat dairy products will
satisfy your cravings and provide you protein which gives you
energy and fat burning power. Additionally, protein builds up
lean muscle which allows you to continue to burn calories even
when your body is at rest.
Choosing a Diet
When you are ready to choose a diet, stick to those that
give you advice that makes sense,
like easting smaller meals spread throughout the day. This
helps your metabolism to stay active all day and you will
have more energy and burn more calories. This type of
nutrition improves your digestion and your body will have
less fat to deposit in areas such as your belly or
buttocks.
For diets that work steer clear of the starvation and liquid
type diets. These types of diets will probably not help you
with your weight loss goals and they may not be healthy. Try to
stick to diets that are rich in protein, include lots of fruits
and vegetables, and spread your meals throughout the day.
Following these simple tips will help you stay on track with
your weight loss.
