weight, one of the easiest things you can do is get out and
walk more often, and if at all possible jogging or running will
help you to lose fat and slim down your body, especially in the
abdominal area. The best of all the cardiovascular exercises
however is the simple act of walking, so stop saying "I cannot
lose weight" and start walking. You should try walking short
distances at first, then gradually increase the distance, later
speeding up the briskness of your walk. Try walking to the
corner of your street or to your mailbox and back, until you
have built up enough strength to make the longer walks. If you
sit for long periods of time at your work, take a break
everyday and have a short brisk walk to get your circulation
going. Remember every time you say to yourself “I cannot lose
weight”, you are actually reinforcing this belief and make it

weight, is to start controlling the amount of food that you
take in. Smaller portions and calorie counting need to become a
part of your everyday activities. Finding out how many calories
each of the things you eat have, and start keeping track of how
many calories you eat on a daily basis. Then decide on what you
can eliminate from your daily diet or replace so that you can
decrease the number of calories that you take in. if you are
finding that certain foods have a larger amount of calories you
will want to replace them, or if you are getting a lot of empty
calories from foods such as soda, then you will want to
eliminate them. The best thing to do is keep track of your
intake and exercise enough to burn off the calories that you
had during your day.
Establish goals and set milestones
The next time you say to yourself “I cannot lose weight”,
remember the best way to lose weight even when you feel you
cannot is to become more goal oriented. Think about really
small obtainable goals that you can work on and some big long
term goals that you want to accomplish. When you reach your
smaller goals, you will feel more confident in your ability to
reach the long term goals you have set for yourself. If you
want to lose weight, you need to be dedicated and focused on
your future weight loss and stick to accomplishing your smaller
